Summer is in full swing, and if you're like most of us, you're probably looking for something to keep the kids occupied! From bowling and movies, to splash pads and skating rinks, Capital has you covered when it comes time to plan a family fun day. Here are our favorite family activities for your neighborhood.

Bixby

Bentley Park Sports Complex in Bixby is a must. The park covers 115 acres and features sports fields, a super playground/splash pad, horseshoe pits, bocce courts, rodeo grounds, practice fields, a multipurpose building, and walking trails. In 2011, the park's splash pad was awarded "2011 Dream Designs Spray Park & Power Play" by Aquatics International. The park is guaranteed fun for the whole family.

Broken Arrow

If your kiddo has a flair for drama, check out the Theater Arts summer camp schedule. Each week is slated for a different weeklong production, including Frozen, Annie and Grease. Sign up quick - limited spots are available.

Jenks

If you're in the Jenks area, stop by FlyingTee for an afternoon of golf, food and fun. FlyingTee, a premier golf entertainment venue, recently opened in Jenks and is designed for all ages and skill levels. After you've played your golf game, check out one of three restaurants in the venue, or stroll the Riverwalk.

Owasso

Visit the Lanes at Coffee Creek bowling alley to register your kids for two FREE bowling games each day! Kids Bowl Free is a program The Lanes at Coffee Creek participates in to provide a safe, fun way for kids to enjoy the summer.

Sand Springs

It's summer time, and the skating's easy! Plan a day at Skates Roller Skating and Event Center in Sand Springs for skating, arcade games and a full snack bar. Admission is $5 and skate rental is an additional $2.

Tulsa

Guthrie Green in downtown Tulsa is jam-packed with exciting (and free!) family-friendly programming all summer long. From story time and movie nights to food trucks and live music, there's a little something for everyone. Grab a blanket or some lawn chairs, and meet us on the Green!
