Get paid to move to Tulsa
A program called Tulsa Remote will pay remote workers from out of state $10G up front to buy a house in Tulsa.
"Tulsa Remote, the program which has been paying remote workers $10,000 to move to the city since 2018, has now offered to sweeten the deal. While the program would previously pay its members $10,000 in installments over the course of their first year living in Tulsa, it is now offering to pay $10,000 toward the purchase of a home in one lump cash grant.
With a median home price of $188,000 as of January according to the Greater Tulsa Association of Realtors, that $10,000 payment could account for a substantial piece of a down payment at more than 5% of the total median price."
The second-largest city in Oklahoma, has been ranked one of the best places to live, and has seen a big increase in residents who moved from out of state. For more on this, check out our post on 10 Reasons You Should Move To Tulsa.
According to an article by NPR, Tulsa has recently seen a dramatic increase in interest in an initiative it launched two years ago.
"We've seen applications over the last six months increase up to threefold," says Ben Stewart, interim director of Tulsa Remote, a program that offers $10,000 to successful applicants who are willing to relocate to Tulsa.
With this new home buying initiative, Tulsa Remote is helping individuals who move to Tulsa achieve financial goals, invest in their futures, and get immediately plugged into the community in a very real way. What could be more welcoming than that?
