Open Road to Retirement
January 3, 2023
Retirement, a new RV and Gulf Shores, AL. had become our every day. We loved being retired and were soaking it up! What we didn't know was a hurricane was coming, and so was a pandemic. Life hands you all sorts of different obstacles and we were about to embark on more. We're originally from Oklahoma and love it! In fact, our family is here including a slew of grandkids we can't live without! Sure, traveling was fun, but when you get hit with the unexpected nothing matters more than family.
We came to visit our family, drove by the Capital Homes model home, Pam ran in, and the next thing we knew we were building a new home back in Oklahoma!! We were thrilled. Living in a RV... we had sold all our furniture, so we immediately needed everything. Lori, our salesperson, was amazing. From Alabama to the Design Center in Oklahoma, she helped hand pick everything we could need. You name it! Wall colors, fixtures, lighting... she nailed it and made it fun!!
She knew we needed to get in quick and she made it happen! She even put us in touch with the right people to help us furnish and have it shipped to our house before we moved in! She made something stressful, incredibly easy and fun! Best part of all... my husband Mike can get around in his wheelchair effortlessly. Everything is built so he can easily access everything you need and maneuver around easily. A HUGE blessing to us.
Our favorite part of our new house is the view from our backyard. The sunsets are stunning along with the rock features. We've lived here over 2 years now with no problems. The warranty team, sales and Capital Homes have been incredible!

What Our
Homebuyers Are Saying
"As we all know, time goes by and things change, just like us. In search of the next big chapter of our life and retirement officially at our fingertips ... we found ourselves in Broken Arrow looking for a perfect new community for our later years in life.
Being close to others, having plenty of room and being able to laugh and have our morning coffee on our front porch are just some of our favorite things. We wanted to have neighbors over to play games and visit and this was the perfect place to do that. We love feeding the local pets as they sauté down the streets and making friends with our neighbors.
The ease of not having to take care of hardly anything has been wonderful. A new home, a retirement community and peace of mind knowing we had a community of folks just like us sounded like a little slice of heaven. It has been 3 years now and we are settled into our daily routine. Giggling on our front porch, cooking our favorite foods, putting together puzzles and enjoying the simple things in life."
