Why Choose Open Concept Kitchen and Living Areas
July 29, 2021
All of our floor plans have a few key pieces in common that we've found most home buyers of today are looking for. Open concept kitchen and living spaces are a key one of these standard options we now offer in every one of our house blue prints. Some may ask why this design is so popular. Here's what we've learned from the homebuyers we've worked with over the years on why they LOVE open concept kitchen and living spaces:
1. Awareness. Gone are the days when meals were prepared out-of-sight. Today's parent/chefs want to keep an eye on what's going on in their home around them while preparing their next meal. Whether it's conversations being had, movies being watched, or kids up to shenanigans, many parents don't want to skip a beat while they are multi-tasking on dinner preparations!
2. Inclusivity. We work hard to provide comforts such as home-cooked meals for our families! Why be banished to a closed-off kitchen while everyone else is having fun and interacting with one another? An open kitchen allows for a cook to still be included in all the conversations and excitement happening in the living area.
3. Entertainment. Hosting and serving guests is easier and more comfortable when everyone can gather around a large kitchen island and living space. Food, drinks and serving plates are easy to access when they are placed on a buffet open to the living area! This also makes clean-up much quicker, as everything stays close to the sink and dishwasher!
4. Visual Appeal. When you have a beautiful kitchen, you want to show it off! Our kitchens come standard with granite countertops, stylish backsplash, new Whirlpool appliances, and beautifully finished cabinetry. Let your kitchen be not only functional, but a beautiful focal point in your home.
Why do you love open concepts? Let us know!
Open concept not your style? Wish more kitchens had some other element? We would love to hear about it. We are always working on new floor plans to deliver homes that people love!

Why People are Calling "Emerald Falls" Their Final Destination
What Our
Homebuyers Are Saying
"As we all know, time goes by and things change, just like us. In search of the next big chapter of our life and retirement officially at our fingertips ... we found ourselves in Broken Arrow looking for a perfect new community for our later years in life.
Being close to others, having plenty of room and being able to laugh and have our morning coffee on our front porch are just some of our favorite things. We wanted to have neighbors over to play games and visit and this was the perfect place to do that. We love feeding the local pets as they sauté down the streets and making friends with our neighbors.
The ease of not having to take care of hardly anything has been wonderful. A new home, a retirement community and peace of mind knowing we had a community of folks just like us sounded like a little slice of heaven. It has been 3 years now and we are settled into our daily routine. Giggling on our front porch, cooking our favorite foods, putting together puzzles and enjoying the simple things in life."
